Polystarch
Masterbatch Products
have been developed for use in blown film, injection molding
and other applications of Polyethylene and Polypropylene
resins.
Polystarch N
For making degradable film which require no additional prodegradants. "N" stands
for nothing added. Mix ratio 25% POLYSTARCH
N • 75% PE Printing Use water base
solution Result Degradation by bacteria
only.
Polystarch Plus
H
A composite of LLDPE and food grade corn Starch. UV and oxidative
prodegradants are added to enhance the degradation process.
This additive uses photo (UV), and oxidative methods to reduce
the molecular weight of the plastic. After the molecular
weight is reduced to a certain level the biological degradation
process begins. The end product manufactured with this additive
will
be clear. The recommended loading of this additive is 10-25%
by weight, depending on the end product requirements.
Polystarch Plus
C
A composite of LLDPE and food grade corn starch. UV and oxidative
prodegradants are added to enhance the degradation process.
This additive uses photo, (UV), and oxidative methods to
reduce the molecular weight of the plastic. After the molecular
weifht is reduced to a certain level, the biological process
begins. The end product manufacturered with this additive
will have a brownish tint. The recommended loading of this
additive is 10-25% by weight depending on the end product
requirements.
Polystarch Plus
A composite of LLDPE and food grade corn starch. This additive
works the same and is loaded the same as Polystarch plus
H. The exception is the end product will have a brownish
tint.
Storage & Handeling
Polystarch Masterbatch Additives are
hygroscopic materials and will absorb moisture from the
atmosphere when opened. Packages should be opened only
when ready to use and resealed when not in use.
This product can be handled in conventional resin conveying
and feeding systems. Adequate filters for the removal of
fines and dust present in all resins should be used. Equipment
should be properly maintained to prevent leaks, and adequately
grounded at all times. Good housekeeping practices should
be followed at all times.
